More Marijuana Movies!
We know we only whet your appetite on weed on movie reals in our last blog episode where we touched on the how the world of film has presented our favourite plant. We touched on some of the old weed propaganda films with some discussion of the prohibitonist classic, Reefer Madness. We talked about cannabis heros who keep speaking out to this day the inimitable Tommy Chong and Cheech Marin (Cheech and Chong). We touched briefly on recent hits Smiley Face and recent classic Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. Today we are going a little deeper and in upcoming episode's we'll do a deep dive into representation of cannabis on television. But for now, for those of you who order weed online Montreal to Regina to Vancouver, we want to give you some more great marijuana movie recommendations to go along with your evening after you buy weed online! Happy watching! For those of you who remember the 1980s and early 1990s, you might want to remind yourself of your glory days by watching some of those Cheech and Chong classics, but don't forget Fast Times At Ridgemont High with the classic character Jeff Spicoli.
Then there is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure - before you watch the sequel made two decades later starring the original actors who played Bill and Ted with a new focus on their younger, smarter, equally stoner daughters. Dazed and Confused, Clerks, and Fridays starting Ice Cubes are others from the era worth watching. Whether you were alive and smoking back then or not even born yet, give them a watch - stoner comedy never really changes! Going into the late 1990s we see Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas - definitely not just a cannabis movie, but cannabis enthusiasts will sure find a lot to love about it - it will have you in hysterics, whether you are stoned or not! The BIg Lebowski made a big impact on its release in 1998 and has certainly become a fan favourite that has only got better with age!
The 2000s brought Dude Where's My Car? , How High, and of course Kevin Smith's classic Joe and Silent Bob Strike Back! Harold and Kumar fans probably have already seen 2008's Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay - definitely a period piece but still full of laughs and worth a watch. Check it out!.
